Product Description

• Sod is cut fresh to order to ensure you are getting a quality product

• All of our sod is grown without the use of plastic netting.  This is beneficial for various reasons. . .​​​​

  • The sod is mature, and fully rooted​

  • It will establish itself quickly as it has a mature root system

  • By using non netted sod you avoid having plastic residue throughout your lawn

• Our sod comes in 2 ft X 5 ft rolls, totaling 10 sq ft per roll. 

• We are more than happy to accommodate any size order.

• One pallet of sod is 540 sq ft (or 54 rolls)

• At Moore and Dorsey we offer both HGT Kentucky Bluegrass and Tall Fescue.  However, as field conditions vary we may only be cutting one variety.  Please give us a call to ensure we have what you need!

Ordering your Sod

 

• Please call (540) - 532 - 2700 to speak with David about placing an order.  We are happy to take the time to answer any questions you may have about the product, or your specific application.

• Please try and place your order at least one day prior to your planned pick up date

• Payment is due at the time the order is placed

• Please refer to our Sod Care page for tips on measuring your area

 

Picking Up Your Sod

​

• We are currently harvesting along the Shenandoah River.  For those who are picking up their orders please follow the directions below.

  • 2 miles east of Berryville VA on RT 7 turn onto RT 621 (Chilly Hollow Rd) at Nalls Farm Market

  • Go 2.1 Miles on RT 621 (Chilly Hollow Rd)

  • Turn left onto the gravel road where there is a heavy iron gate

  • Follow this road back to the sod fields

  • If the gate is closed please call 540 - 532 - 2700 (David) or 540 - 533 - 9277 (Tupper), and we will unlock it for you

• Pickup times are between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday (when ordering please specify when you would like to pick it up so we can cut it as close to your pickup time as possible, this ensures you are getting a fresh product).

• More often than not we are able to provide service on weekends, just give us a call to set up an anointment!

Additional Information

​

• If you choose to transport your sod on a wooden pallet there will be a $20.00 deposit fee for each pallet.  This deposit will be refunded to you if the same pallet(s) is returned to us in good condition within 30 days of the purchase.
